(Урок английского языка в 8 классе)

Данный урок посвящен моде, как средству самовыражения в разные времена. Урок является одним из завершающих тему «Be yourself» (модуль 4, УМК «Spotlight – 8», Ю.Е. Ваулина и др.).

 

Цель и задачи урока

Познакомить учащихся с традициями и культурой страны изучаемого языка на основе национальных костюмов стран мира.

Образовательная. Развитие коммуникативных навыков. Совершенствование навыков поискового чтения по теме.

Развивающая. Развитие речевых навыков и логики мышления учащихся. Повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка.

Воспитательная. Воспитание уважительного отношения к языку и культуре другой страны. Формирование уважения к традициям моды и стиля ранних веков и современности. Привитие чувства вкуса к одежде.

Планируемый результат

Предметные умения: активизировать навыки устной речи; употреблять новую лексику по теме «Мода и традиции».

УУД

Личностные: уметь выбирать оптимальные формы во взаимоотношениях с одноклассниками.

Коммуникативные: формировать умения слушать и вступать в диалог для поддержания учебно-деловой беседы, рассказывать о себе с опорой на модель.

Познавательные: уметь осознанно строить речевое высказывание по образцу, формулировать ответы на вопросы учителя и одноклассников.

Регулятивные: моделировать ситуации поведения в классе, контролировать и корректировать действия партнера.

Организация пространства

Формы работы:

- Фонетическая и речевая разминка.

- Работа со схемами – опорами.

- Фронтальный опрос.

- Работа в группах.

Ресурсы: учебник, рабочие тетради, книга для учителя, фото с изображением людей в различной одежде, раздаточный материал, ПК, проектор.

 

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие. Постановка целей урока

Good morning, class! I’m glad to see you. How are you? Today we have our conclusion lesson on topic «Fashion and traditions». We are going to revise all your knowledge concerning this problem. Also we’ll learn new facts about it, and present you traditional costume’s items. I hope you are fine and ready to work hard, aren’t you? So, let’s start our lesson.

2. Этап актуализации темы

I’d like to tell you that clothes and fashion are always among the most interesting topics to talk about. Women and girls are very interested in fashion. But men and boys also like wearing nice modern clothes, boots or shoes. So fashion problems can excite and interest everybody. We wear different clothes for different activities. “Everything is good in its season” the proverb says. But what clothes have you got in your wardrobes?

Now I will give you sheets of paper. Your task is to fill them using the words you have already learnt. (Приложение I) 1минута

Now it’s time to brush up. Please, answer my questions about TRADITIONAL COSTUMES.

  • Does each nation have its own national costume? Why?
  • Do you find national costumes interesting? Why or why not?
  • Have you ever worn a national costume?
  • Where could you wear a national costume?
  • How do you think you would feel?
  • Do you think it possible to come to school in a traditional costume?

 

We have already said that a traditional costume may show the history if the country, its climate and welfare. What can you tell me about teenagers: are they similar or different in different countries? In what way?

So, we came to a conclusion that clothes show individuality of each person.

Let us read the text «The Tatar costume» (учебное пособие Welcome to Tatarstan, Л.Ф.Иванова и др., Казань, ТАИ, 2007). You will have 3 minutes to look through the text and get the idea. You don’t need to understand EACH word.

Today we spoke about fashion and traditional costumes of different countries. We mentioned basic elements and functions of the costumes. We said that the national costume is one of the means of showing the person’s individuality. You worked really hard and learnt a lot of interesting information. Your home task is to design a modern costume using some elements of the Tatar national costume or of the national costume of your own choice. Decide if it is a school uniform, a party dress, sport clothes etc. Write a description of it.
